Terrariums - Gifts of Nature

Terrariums are miniature gardens housed in a closed or semi-open environment. They require little care, are easily maintained and make wonderful freshing gifts for friends and family.

Terrarium Care
1) Do not place terrariums under Direct Sunlight as this will cause them to dry up and turn brown.

2) Little water is needed for the terrariums. Closed terrariums will "recycle" the water inside the container coming from the condensation and the lids should not be open unless necessary. Should there be too much condensation inside the container, then open the lid to air for 30mins before closing it back again. During this time, you can wipe away the excess water in the container lid and sides, however, DO NOT add any water and fertiliser. Technically, you will only need to water your terrariums every 4-6 months.

3) The plants in the terrariums will grow slowly, thus you may need to trim the leaves when it gets too tall. To trim, use a pair of scissors and cut the leaf together with a little of stalk. You can then replant this in the terrarium.
